The weather is gorgeous. Start the weekend early with my picks for family fun!
Friday March 16
Stop by the Friends Used Book Sale at the Knoxville Convention Center. Doors open at 11 a.m. and it’s Buy 1, Get 1 Free . Not bad when you consider there are thousands of books for $2 or less.
Make a St. Patrick’s Day Hat. Call Smart Toys and Books and see if they have any room left in their popular Mommy, Daddy and Me Art Classes at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. or noon.
Toddlers love to shake their diaper-clad bottoms, let them dance at Jitterbugz Mommy & Me Dance Class at Cutie Tooties on Kingston Pike at 11.30 a.m.
Saturday March 17
Celebrate St Paddy’s Day with some green-themed crafts from my Pinterest picks.
Celebrate 75 Years of Imagination with Dr Seuss , from 11 a.m. at Knoxville Center Mall, including crafts, goodies and more. Read my post here for more info.
We missed out on making the Disney hats at the Disney Store last week and spotted them later, they were really cute! This week as part of their month-long celebration win prizes when you play their Trivia Game and join the Dance Party from 11.30 a.m. More details here.
Psst! I’m slowing building up an album of local photos using Instagram, take a peek here. Someone had drawn a large Pacman game on the path at Fountain City Park and there was a guy entertaining the kids making balloon creations today! Anyone else use Instagram?
