A Pinterest-ing we will go: Easter Crafts

It’s been a crazy week at our house, why is Spring quickly becoming the silly season? I couldn’t even begin to recount my week, just minor things going wrong and the slow realization that having three kids is A LOT of work! Who knew? So I’ll just take to my happy place, Pinterest and show you what I’m hoping to create for and with the kids this Easter. Now if only I could work out how to blow the Easter Eggs out, I could get started!

Love the versatility of these buckets from Merrilee at Mer Mag. They’re readily available at Lowes and you can pick up the chalk board paint at the same time. I’m thinking they could be cute with the pale blue chalk board paint and be reused to store all sorts of things in the playroom or perhaps put the year on them for each Easter and photograph the kids holding them? And perhaps some hand print or freezer print bunnies to complete the Easter Egg hunt attire?

These gorgeous plates are by Ishtar Olivera. At Christmas I picked up a Porcelaine paint pen to use on dinner ware and it’s super easy to use. I’d love to see the kids draw on their own Easter buffet plates. Perhaps a self-portrait would be cute to keep too?

Funny Bunny Cookies  from Sue at Munchkin Munchies, are a fresh twist on the mustaches that we have seen EVERYWHERE. If I can stop the kids from munching on them long enough to snap some photos they’ll be perfect. Check out the instructions for making your own here.

Chalkboard Easter Eggs are everywhere now too, but I couldn’t resist the adorable illustrations on the Ostrich eggs at The Red Thread. We have a giant chalk board wall in our kitchen, I might just draw these bunnies on it if I don’t figure out how to decorate my own blown out Easter Eggs!

Is anyone else tackling some Easter themed crafts? What have you done or are you planning to do?
